As a fourth-generation traditional hotel in the Franconian Saale Valley, it is our love of our homeland and nature that sets us apart. Situated in a unique landscape amidst the unmistakable backdrop of the Bavarian Rhön Mountains, we combine Franconian hospitality with state-of-the-art service, regional cuisine, and exclusive wellness offerings. As a special highlight, we offer authentic, traditional Ayurveda treatments at our center. These are led by Dona Francis and Aswathy Kunnummel from Kerala, and Hena Praveen Khan from India—all three with BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)—together with ten friendly and highly qualified therapists from Kerala, the home of Ayurveda.

AYURVEDA – THE FOUR PILLARS OF HEALTH

Ayurveda is the traditional Indian healing art that not only covers the physical, but also the mental constitution and the social environment of the human being. Through the areas of nutrition, yoga with meditation, soothing treatments and the use of natural remedies, you will find new freshness and many chronic diseases can be alleviated.

AYURVEDIC NUTRITION

Diet plays an important role and is an essential building block in Ayurvedic medicine. It is one of the four pillars, along with massage and other body therapies, as well as yoga and lifestyle adjustments and the use of special dietary supplements. Purely vegetarian dishes are served, which help to relieve the body and activate its self-healing powers. The meals are freshly prepared daily in our kitchen by two specially trained cooks according to Ayurvedic guidelines. Spices – the wealth of India – play an important role in both Ayurvedic nutrition and healing. We are happy to respond to individual requests as long as they do not conflict with the treatment plan.

FAR AWAY AT HOME

Our 64 rooms and suites impress with a loving attention to detail and modernity, in which the love for nature and the region is always noticeable.

Our SPA and wellness area is designed to allow you complete relaxation and well-being.

On more than 1000 m² you will find an indoor pool with a counter-current system, a whirlpool, a bio sauna, a Finnish Kelo outdoor sauna and a steam bath and an infrared cabin in the most modern feel-good ambience.
